The police chief of North Ogden examines for possible “violations of politics”

North Ogden, Utah – the chief of police at North Ogden City has been on administrative leave for over a week while an investigation is carried out.

An anonymous tip that was sent to Fox 13 News contained a press release from the city administrator of February 14.

The announcement states that boss Brian Eynon was included in the administrative vacation on February 12 for “reviewing the violations of police policy”. An independent examination of third -party providers is “based on the information that the city council received”, as the press release was. No further details were given.

Eynon became North Ogden's police chief on May 30, 2024 on May 30, 2024. Before that, he has been with the Ogden police department since 2014 and worked as a Sergeant, lieutenant and then Division Commander.

In the announcement, the city made it clear that it was transferred to administrative leave during independent studies. They added that this is not a criminal investigation and “no misconduct implies”.
