“I thought our jugs did a good job to hold down these boys,” said Vitello after the victory. “But if you have noticed the bat for a single fat or every AT bat, you really took some good swings. It's not like taking the wind out or the ball was wearing as crazy. I think our boys have just done a really good job and the weather got better every day and our offense got better every day.

“And I think the problem you presented at the end of the week and what we now know what we probably knew a little earlier is that there is a little depth there. There are some competition there and you are looking for someone to tear the pen out of your hand and let it put them in the line -up every day. At the same time, we only played so many games. There are only so many repetitions for every man and we are still trying to find out some different combinations of things. So you have to be patient with the coaching staff, mainly me and your possibilities and always ready. And I also think you should come to the park every day and know whether you are or not in a line -up or it is your buddy. We have a whole group of boys who are capable of. “

Tennessee will be back against North Alabama at the Lindsey Nelson Stadium on Tuesday. The first pitch is at 4:30 p.m. ET on Secn+.
