The couple has to sleep in separate bedrooms while he is booming with mom

A new one 90 -day fishing The couple faces an unpleasant sleeping situation as soon as it is reunited in the United States thanks to one of their “watchdog” mothers.

During the episode of the TLC hit on February 23, the audience was introduced in Gregory, who was still alive with his mother Lucille in Long Island, NY, while waiting for his future bride Joan from Uganda.

At the beginning, however, the couple would live at Lucille's house – something Greg, 35, said Joan was “skeptical”. “She wants a place where we have privacy for ourselves and can simply be together,” he said in a confessional.

Lucille had his own concerns and feared that Greg could be “exploited” in his new relationship. So she asked Greg and Joan to sleep separately until her wedding day.

This brought Greg into an unpleasant position. “I know Joan, I think it's a bit of a difficult conversation.”

Greg met Joan for the first time on a trip to Uganda, from whom he said he had fallen asleep on the shoulder of a man during an aircraft ride. (He and the other passenger got understood and Greg's new friend invited him to visit the East African country, where he has a safari business.)

According to Greg, he met Joan within the first 90 minutes of his trip. They lost contact almost two years after their first meeting, but somehow Joan Greg found on social media and connected to him online again.

Greg returned to Uganda to visit Joan and even suggested her on her birthday. Now she was on the way to the United States with a K-1 visa.

But life in Long Island would be a great adaptation to Joan, who had a bachelor's degree in marketing and finance and worked as a director of a non-profit organization in Uganda.

Joan also had to live with Greg with his mother Lucille when he tried to save for a starter house – from whom Greg said that Greg in the Long Island area began around $ 400,000.

“I am nowhere near this position to put a family house on a family house,” Greg admitted in a confessional. He added with his mother and would help him save.

But it could take a year or two for Greg to achieve this goal, especially with Joan, until she can get a green card in the USA

In the meantime, Greg's mother was concerned about her son, whom she described as “naive in relation to relationships”. Lucille feared that Greg could be “exploited” due to his friendliness and generosity.

Despite his mother's concerns, Greg was certain that Joan was not only in marriage because of a green card. He said he was “transparent” with Joan about his financial situation, which he admitted, which he was not the best.

But Lucille remained “uncomfortable” with the idea that her son and his soon wife was alone in a bedroom in a bedroom and asked if they could sleep separately.

Greg didn't understand why his mother took care of, but Lucille told him that it was about being “respectful” in her house. “I was brought up like this,” she said.

But where would Joan sleep? “We have a futon at the end of the wall,” said Lucille, but Greg said to her: “It's not right.”

“We waited almost seven months to be back together and so that it comes here and is in a separate space to sleep, it is crazy,” said Greg in a confessional. However, he admitted that he and Joan are financially in a sticky situation.

“We don't necessarily pay rent,” said Greg. “So if she asks me to do something like this, I have to take it very seriously.”

Greg also feared what could happen if his fiance ultimately did not get out with his mother, who admitted to “a little” to baby – often make his laundry, to make him “nice” meals and clean up his disorder.

“I definitely would only have to find twice and a place,” he said in a confessional. “But it would empty the bank account almost immediately. … I shaked a little in my boots here. ”

Greg discussed his home dilemma with his girlfriend Laura while doing sanitary work at her home. He confessed that he was not financially prepared for Joan's arrival and did not know how long he had to hold together with his mother.

Ultimately, it is Greg's goal to open a bakery as its main source of income. “It could be rocky in the first year,” he said. “We will handle it when it comes, you know, cross this bridge when it is there for me.”

But Laura asked Greg to “think a little more today” instead of looking passively for the future. “You have to grow up a bit,” she insisted.

Greg admitted in a confessional that he did not always take his life seriously and “in his young mentality in his whole life”. He added his relationship with Joan, “I really put things in the right perspective.”

“I have to grow up,” he confessed. “I don't live regret and I have the feeling that I should have taken things seriously, but I am right now and that's the reality.”
