Malta man arrested for indictment for domestic violence

Malta – The office of the Sheriff of the Saratoga district reacted to an active domestic incident in the Lakeside Avenue in the city of Malta on Saturday at 10:42 a.m.

After an investigation, the MP Jerrid J. Harpster, 26, from Malta, arrested under several charges: tightened criminal contempt (class D criminal offense), serious family offense (class E criminal offense), attack in the third degree (class A. criminal manipulations in the third degree (Class B).

Harpster is accused of deliberately causing physical injuries that violate the protection of the court.

The authorities say that he hit the victim in the face and ear.

He is also accused of having committed a certain crime under the law after he has previously been convicted of a similar crime in the past five years.

He also supposedly manipulated the property of the victim by spraying hands -in letters' lotion on her jacket.

Harpster was charged with the judge of the city court of Malta, Ellwood A. Sloat Jr. and referred back to the Saratoga County prison until further legal proceedings.
