The accused does not guilty due to fatal shootout in 2023 News, sports, jobs

A Minot man who was exposed to a crime murder of the AA class in connection with a fatal shootout from 2023 was not guilty during a hearing on Friday not to be guilty.

Quantdre Mersier, 31, Minot, waived his provisional hearing, which was planned for Friday afternoon before the North Central District Court, and was not guilty of murdering Ansu Kamara (29).

According to court documents, Mersier was accused of shot by Minot in Northwest in the northwest. Kamara was brought to a minot hospital for treatment for a serious gunshot wound, and Mersier was initially charged for attempted murder. Mersier was later charged with murder after Kamara had succumbed to his injury.

A arrest for Mersier was issued, but it remained at the open foot until he was arrested by the Fort Wayne police department in Indiana with the support of the US marshal service in April 2024.

Mersier remains in custody in the Ward County prison, since Indiana has a prison sentence of four years because of the possession of a firearm by a criminal incurred during his arrest.

Mersier's next court date is a pre -judicial conference on Wednesday, April 30th.
