Man dies after he was outside of Wendy in Louisvilles Russell Viertel | shot | Crime reports

Louisville, Ky. (WDRB) -A man died in the hospital after he was found on a Wendy parking lot in the Russell district of Louisville with gunshot wounds.

LMPD spokesman Aaron Ellis said that the officials had answered reports on a shootout on the 1200 block of the West Broadway at around 11:30 p.m.

When they arrived, they found a man in the parking lot with gunshot wounds.

Officers and EMS tried first aid for the man. He was taken to the university clinic and, according to Ellis, declared dead short time after his arrival.

The LMPD murder unit examines the shootout, but there are no suspects. Detectives are working to find out a possible motive, said Ellis.
