The St. Cloud City Council for approval of the construction management contract for the new fire brigade project

(KNSI) -AM Monday evening The St. Cloud City Council will approve a deal for paying ICS Consulting in Minneapolis $ 872,000 for the construction of the new fire and training center on the city's southwestern side.

This is spent filling and working designs in order to make the complex as efficient as possible. A lender will be found for the project next year, followed by groundbreaking. In autumn 2027, the new station should be in operation with full strength.

In November, 61% of the voters gave their blessing to spend 43.5 million US dollars for the fire brigade and the training center, which was built by the 33rd Street South and County Road 74 near the new Tech High School. It costs the owner of an average of 234,000 US dollars home a year. The property taxes are levied for up to 20 years until the loan is paid back.

ICS was one of nine companies that looked at the city.

The contract is listed in the city council's declaration of consent, which means that it can be adopted without further discussion or for additional discussions.

The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. in the town hall.
