Bronx double shots near Seafood Restaurant leaves man dead, another wounded: police officers

Two men were shot in the Bronx at the weekend, one fatal and left detectives in the hunt for the shooter.

Bronx detectives hunt on Sunday evening after the shooter behind a double shooting near a fish restaurant that wounded one man and another.

According to the police, the fatal incident on February 23, shortly before 8 p.m. in front of the trembling crab in the 2179 White Plains Road.

Police sources said that one of the victims, a 32-year-old man, was on the sidewalk at the time, heard several shots, but did not notice that he had been wounded until he was in his back seconds later.

Officers from the 49. District Hurried to the scene to build a radius while Ems brought the victim to the Jacobi hospital, where he was treated for his injury and is expected to survive.

However, the officials later learned from the employees of the Jacobi hospital that the second victim of the shootout was brought there for treatment.

The police say that 33-year-old Kemahni Smalls from Staten Island was shot in the restaurant about the same Sunday evening in the restaurant. He was brought to the Jacobi hospital via private means, but could not be saved and declared dead.

In the meantime, the police are looking for the alleged shooter, who is described as a man in the 20s, who last wears a sweatshirt and wearing dark trousers who fled on foot after shooting.

So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigations, the authorities said.
