Detectives examine a number of robberies from Kensington Bank; Photos of suspects published

Gaithersburg, MD – Detective from the Department of Montgomery County's police department – main crimes examine a number of armed bank robberies that have taken place in the Kensington area. Detectives have published surveillance photos of the male suspect and ask for the support of the public to identify him.

On Saturday, February 1, 2025, at around 11:29 a.m. in the 2nd district representative, the M&T Bank in the 10400 block of the Montgomery Avenue reacted to report the report on a robbery of the armed bank.

The investigation showed that the suspect entered the bank, put a pistol on the counter and demanded cash. The bank employee met the suspect's claims. The suspect then left the M&T bank with an unknown amount stolen money.

On Friday, February 7th, at around 10:08 a.m., 2nd District officers responded to the capital -One bank in the 10700 block of the Connecticut Avenue to achieve the report of an armed bank robbery.

The investigation showed that the suspect entered the bank, swing a pistol and demanded cash. The bank employee met the suspect's claims. The suspect then left the Capital -Bank stolen money with an unknown amount.

Detective checked the bank's surveillance video and believe that the same suspect is responsible for both bank robberies.

The suspect is described as a black man with a dark complexion, who is around 50 to 60 years old, 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet big.
