Ice Raids Colony Ridge is looking for criminals, says Abbott, says Abbott

According to a social media post by governor Greg Abbott, a state and federal law enforcement company for “criminal and illegal immigrants” took place in Colony Ridge.

The Texas Ministry of Public Security supports the US representatives of the homeland protection authority at the Operation Abbott that he had been planning for months together with Tom Homan, the “Grenzzar” of the Trump government. The 33,000 hectare apartment in the apartment in Liberty County was at the top of the rhetoric of the anti-immigration of Abbott and other state officials for a large part of the 2024 election season.

“Colony Ridge is targeted today,” Abbott wrote in a post on X that was previously known as Twitter. “Texas DPS Troopers & Special Agents support the investigation for home protection this morning with an operation in Colony Ridge.”

Local officials in Liberty County were not aware of the operation in front of Abbott's tweet, said Liberty County, Jay Knight, on Monday. Knight added that he did not know any local law enforcement authorities that assisted in immigration attacks.

The state officials were interested in Colony Ridge for the first time in 2023, after years of conspiracy theories claimed that the development was a breeding site of antitrust operations. Both the local law enforcement authorities and the officials of the Ministry of Public Security said there was no evidence for this claim.

In September 2023, the governor Dan Patrick flew a helicopter over the development with the Texas Department of Public Safety and confirmed the complaints of the right critics that Colony Ridge cited a border “Sanctuary City” for immigrants and cited misleading and wrong crime statistics.

Governor Greg Abbott ordered the legislator in Texas to address Colony Ridge during a special meeting in autumn 2023, but only increased the number of DPS officials who patrolled with the development.

The development is sued by the Ministry of Justice and the state of Texas. The owners John and William “Trey” Harris are accused of largely accused of Latin American country buyers in what general lawyer Ken Paxton has referred to as the “bait and switch” drive scheme.

John Harris previously announced that the landing was unfounded and inflammatory.

The company on Monday was announced by a tweet from Abbott's X account in which the governor has promised in the past few weeks that a kind of immigration operation was imminent.

“Yes. Both the Feds and the DPS work on it,” Abbott wrote on January 26, when asked if an operation was in the works.

This is a developing history and is updated.
