Roberta Flack had started at the HB Sugg High School in Farmville

Farmville, NC (Witn) -roberta Flack, the singer from North Carolina, which was awarded by Grammy Award, has her professional start in Pitt County.

The 88-year-old died today as an explanation of her publicist.

Flack was born in Black Mountain, completed the high school at the age of 15 and then won a full scholarship to Howard University in Washington, DC

When her father died in the late 1950s, Flack moved back to North Carolina and taught English and music at the HB Sugg, the African -American high school in Farmville.

She was at Sugg for a year before finally working on Junior High Schools in the Washington region, DC.

Flack won four grams over a period of two years, when in the 1970s hits like “Kill me quietly with his song” and “The first time I saw your face”.
