Cuthbert Deadly Park Shooting Victim

Cuthbert, Ga. (Walb) -AM Sunday, February 23, in Cuthbert Day Park in Randolph County took place in Cuthbert Day Park and demanded the life of 16-year-old Tyrae Campbell.

Tyrae, a 9th grade at the Patasula Charter Academy, was fatally shot in an incident with his best friend, the son of a local police officer. Tyrae's mother confirmed the heartbreaking details during an interview and announced that her son was accidentally shot while the weapon was handled by his friend. She added that in addition to Tyra's death another teenager was shot in the face, but survived the ordeal.

The Cuthbert Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) reacted to the scene and is currently investigating the incident. The examination continues and the authorities are working to collect further details about the tragic event.

At the moment, the community mourns the loss of a young life, while the investigation of the incident continues.
