Noel Cotterell, financial director and record trainer, dies at 67 – The Mass Media

Noel Cotterell, the alumnus of Umass Boston and Senior Director of Finance, died of cancer on February 3. He was 67 years old.

Cotterell worked for the university for 41 years and acted before retirement due to illness as a senior director of finance and interim leading and engagement division.

As a student, he was a multisport athlete and, according to the notes of the mass media, became the captain of two sports football and basketball and second in the history of Umass Boston. “As a classic gentleman and intelligent player, the quietly spoken Cotterell is missed by everyone,” Phil Robichaud, editor of Mass Media Sports, wrote his final as a student at the end of the basketball season 1981/82.
