The delays of the Indy Post service lead to the death of Schiff's baby chickens

Indianapolis (Wish) – Hoosiers experience long delays in posting and package deliveries due to problems with the new US mail distribution on the Brookville Road in Indianapolis.

On the USPS website it says that the postal company enables 526 types of living animals. For Hoosiers like Scott Fred, who rely on the USPs to maintain these living animals, the delays not only caused a headache, but also the death of the animals that were sent by the wearer.

On January 28, 2025, Fred ordered the chick living in Zeeland, Michigan.

“I gave up my order and you sent it on the last Tuesday in January and you should have come this Thursday,” said Fred. “But unfortunately they didn't; They arrived on Friday. ”

This Friday morning the Post called Fred to tell him that all chicks were dead.

Although he had not ordered from this special breeding egg in the past, Fred has ordered living chicks from other providers without any problems.

“On the same day I called the breeding and they wanted to send me another package next week on Tuesday,” said Fred. “It should have arrived on Thursday, but unfortunately it was next Tuesday – a whole week later.”

Fred's shipping died again in the furnishings of Indianapolis.

According to Fred, when he returned Townline Hatchy because of the second batch of dead chicks, the breeding egg told him that in Indianapolis they had 52 packages that were missing last week.

Wish-TV contacted Townline Hatchy on February 18, 2025, but was not preserved to publish this article.

“It is only unhappy because they know that I have done it several times and never had a problem,” said Fred. “You would think that mail would be faster, but it seems as if it would slow down, if at all.”

At the beginning of February, the legislator from Indiana sent a letter to the US mail service, in which they expressed concerns about delays in a distribution center. The letter written by Rep. Jefferson Shreve and signed by every member of the Indiana Congress Delegation in Washington, DC, calls for the General Postmaster about the delays and asks about a long -term plan to prevent future problems.

“I just hope it will be solved. My package was 30 chicks, and that's $ 167, ”said Fred. “You have done it twice now, but without results. How do you run a business? ”
