The OSHA completes the investigation from 2023 at the workplace in the Milan plant by John Deere

The 55-year-old Anthony “Tony” Lecleir from Davenport died in November 2023 after being injured at work.

Milan, Ill – The professional security and health authority (OSHA) ended an investigation into John Deere after the death of a man due to a job accident in the Milan facility on 1600 E. 1st Ave.

According to Osha's examination, the 55-year-old Anthony fulfilled “Tony” Lecleir from Davenport Scan tasks when he was stuck between a stick persecution hunter and his connected car after another employee who drove a forklift, the rear of the stick Chasers met. He died a few weeks later on November 7, 2023.

The Osha opened an investigation five days after the incident and submitted the violations in mid -March 2024, with three “serious” quotations triggered against Deere. According to a public post on the Osha website, one of these quotes has been deleted since then, with a second downgraded to “others”. Deere received a fine of 16,131 US dollars for the remaining serious quote.

News 8 turned to Deere to comment on the closure of the investigation. From 4 p.m. on Monday, February 24th, we have not yet heard.
