Trump says Canada, Mexico -Zölle, who “move forward” in the schedule | National

The US President Donald Trump said on Monday that the tariffs he introduced in Canada and Mexico, and turned to reporters after he met the “Fairen Competition “pushed in retail.

The lectures by the two managers who focused on the conflict in Ukraine come when Trump threatens allies and opponents alike with new tariffs and triggers a flood of negotiations.

Shortly after taking office, Trump announced duties of up to 25 percent for Canadian and Mexican imports, citing illegal immigration and the river of deadly fentanyl.

But he gave the taxes at the last minute for a month when the talks were continued.

The break ends next Tuesday, and all the eyes are aimed at whether the North American neighbors can come to shops to avert their implementation – which would prevent the obligations in key sectors such as car production.

“The tariffs go on time on time on time,” said Trump to a press conference on Monday.

Trump's update came after Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said on Monday that the talks with Washington would continue this week to avoid comprehensive taxes.

She expressed itself optimistically to make a contract with Trump and pointed out potential taxes for Chinese goods to achieve an agreement.

Sheinbaum also signaled that Mexico was open to an early review of his trade agreement with the USA and Canada before a period of 2026.

Regardless of this, the Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly told reporters on Monday that “the threat from tariffs is real and could continue for a while”.

At his press conference with Macron, Trump repeated that Washington was also looking for “mutuality” with other countries.

He added: “If someone calculates us, we calculate them.”

In the meantime, Macron Trump asked for “fair competition” on the market and found that the American and European economies are deeply connected.

While Trump focused on the trade in goods, Macron pointed out that the United States is an important exporter in digital products.

He called for more investments on both sides.

Apart from the general tasks in the most important US trading partners Canada and Mexico, Trump launched plans for “mutual tariffs” that would be tailored to every country, with the details coming later.
