Raelynn's old song 'Freund' becomes viral for Mishard Lyric

Raelynn's 2012 song “Freund” becomes viral for a fairly assignable reason.

After the single of the Country star had become viral and she began to think about the clips on Tiktok, she noticed that fans sang the texts wrong.

“That he and I return so far/Oh my god, we lived in his first truck/for the first time when we heard/think Shania Twain, we were on our way to Lubbock,” sings Raelynn, 30, in the second verse . However, the fans disregarded the texts and thought “Lovebug” instead of “Lubbock”, the name of a Texan city.

She shared an Instagram video with the Mishard texts on Monday, February 17th. “POV: It is 11 years later and a drama breakup song that I wrote when I was 17 is in trend and everyone thinks I would have said Lovebug and not Lubbock,” wrote Raelynn about a clip of her lip-synchronization that synchronized the versa .

“Should we change it in Lovebug? #Boyfriend #Raelynn”, she labeled the clip.

The fans quickly got involved with the texts in their Instagram comments and some did not notice what they said all the time, and other jokes that they did not want to learn the decades of texts.

“I always thought it was 'on the way to a love book' Hahaha,” said one person. “Keep it! I would never have guessed it as something other than Lubbock. I always heard it,” wrote another.

“30 years old learning it is not Lovebug 😂”, a third realized. “Omg hahaha !! Now I can hear both !!” Someone else added. “Haha, I always loved this and I am not said that it is not Lovebug 😂😂,” protested an Instagram user.

“Oh girl, I'm an upper floor 'lover and I'm so happy that it gets his moment in the sun,” wrote a fan about the now viral moment of the song.

The Agree Alum also announced a TikKok on February 17 and offered an alternative text and said that the couple was instead “in A Lovebug” on the way and referred to a Volkswagen Beetle car that also appears plausible.

“Here we come in a lovebug 😂❤️💕,” she labeled the clip in which she and someone else discuss the Mishard words.

This is not the first time that the texts of a famous song have been abused over the years. Katy Perry clarified the words about her song “Firework” in 2022. In 2024 Ariana Grande pointed this out Evil Share the wrong texts to “popular”.

Raelynn, whose complete name Racheal Lynn Woodward is, published “Freund” over 10 years ago as her debut single. In December 2012, she told The Boot that it was “nervous” to share her debut single, but was also “super excited” to show her original songs.
