Madison Township Warehouse “a complete defeat” after the fire, says Chief, says Chief

Madison Township, Ohio – A warehouse in Madison Township was classified as a “complete loss” after a fire on Monday, said fire chief J. Kent Hall.

The crews from Butler and Warren Counties reacted to a big fire on Monday at 11:45 a.m. in the 6600 block of the Georgetown Lane. This address is connected to an automotive repair shop, the commercial truck.

Hall said that the building was on fire, and the reacting crews could not extend this fire to other nearby buildings. Firefighters also learned that there were workers inside who could all come out safely.

While they were able to contain the fire and extinguish it, Hall said that the building had been destroyed.

“It is a complete loss … it will be a high loss of dollars, several million dollars,” said Hall.

Since vehicles were both inside and outside the warehouse, Hall said that chemicals were involved. The EMA Butler County was called to the scene, where Hall said that no burials were found. The EPA was also made aware.
