Lisa Rose from Ky3 announces the retirement date

Springfield, Mo. (Ky3) -After 41 years at “The Place to Be”, the beloved Ky3 -anker Lisa Rose announced her retirement from the Springfield TV broadcaster. Her last day is planned for July 25th.

Lisa has been with the broadcaster since 1984. Lisa is also known for her monthly buddy check 3 stories about breast cancer.

“All of these years in television news were more worthwhile than I could ever have imagined,” said Rose. “In many ways it was a constant training, from learning the constantly changing tools and technologies to the provision of the news every day to day to crash courses to everything, from new laws to medical breakthroughs, from agriculture to banking business And so much more. “

Rose's first job was in the A&W in Springfield in the Battlefield Mall when she was 17 years old. She grew Ky3 and knew where she wanted to work. After making her bachelor in TV news from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina, she moved to Joplin, Mo., and worked on code TV. Four years later, she became a reporter and anchor on Ky3.

During her time at Ky3, Lisa covered everything from environmental and medical questions to criminal investigations. Her most memorable stories include national political conventions, the first “right to die” by the US Supreme Court part of Buddy Check 3.

In 2023, Lisa was included in the Silver Circle by the National Academy of Arts and Sciences Mid-America. The honor is for television experts who have served the industry for 25 years or more. The individuals on the list were a service for the industry, the community and the people who train for a career in this area.

When I came home and stayed in Springfield, Rose allowed Rose that Rose was invaluable with her parents before they died. She always strives to spend time with her brothers, sister, nieces and nephews, all of whom call the ozarks at home. In 1997 she met the “love of her life” here in Springfield. She married Randy Rose in 1998 and won three stepchildren and three grandchildren.

“Many of our spectators grew up with Lisa and have the feeling that they are as part of their family as here at the station,” said the news Director Bridget Lovelle. “Lisa know people in the Ozarks in some of the most difficult times we have ever experienced for their calm and understanding. Lisa is as friendly and sensitive behind the scenes as the spectators. It is an honor for us to have worked with her. It will be missing very much. “

The search for a new anchor starts immediately.

“There is no doubt in my head, God brought me to this way,” said Rose. “I can't wait to see where the Lord leads my husband and me together in our next chapter of life.”

The broadcaster invites the viewers to say goodbye to Friday, July 25, at 6 p.m. during their last broadcast.
