Murder process for fatal October 2023 begins on Tuesday in Linn County

The jury's selection begins on Tuesday in the first degree murder trial for the man of Cedar Rapids, who is charged with the fatal shootout of a Doordash supplier.

Cameron Leonard is accused of having killed Myron Snyder on October 5, 2023 in the Pointe Apartments in the northeast of Cedar Rapids. Leonard was brought to the hospital for injuries by the shootout before he was arrested the following month.

The investigators say that Snyder made a delivery to Leonard's brother that night, and Maurice Brown and Snyder were involved in an earlier discussion. At some point the two men fought on Snyder with brown shots when he got back into his car. Snyder replied the fire and killed Brown. Leonard is accused of shot and killed Snyder.

The stepfather of Brown and Leonard, Pierre Morrow, is accused of hiding the weapon used at the shootout. Morrow has planned a hearing for March 13th.

Court files show that Leonard's procedures are expected to take six days.
