The next head coach of the archery of the Bogene Greyhound announced

The team has had an 11: 4 campaign in which they were displaced in 5-A Div. II semi -finals.

San Antonio – Brett Sawyer will take over the management of Boerne Greyhounds and take over the management and take over for Che Hendrix after going to a position at the University of Arkansas.

The campaign was completed on Monday evening by Boerne ISD School Board and also makes Sawyer the new sports coordinator of the high school. Sawyer has described Boerne's defense systems in the past seven years, in which the greyhounds have recorded a record of 71: 21 in the last three seasons, including double -digit victories.

Sawyer takes over while the greyhounds want to improve a 5-A Div. II semi-final loss to Randle in December and an 11:4 campaign.

“Trainer Sawyer has been an integral part of Boerne in the past seven years and helped design a championship caliber program,” the sports director of Boerne ISD, Stan Leech, is quoted in a publication. “His leadership, experience as head coach and a deep connection to the Boerne community make him an ideal decision to continue the winning tradition of greyhounds.”

Sawyer had previously held the role of the head coach for the Sweeny High School Bulldogs, who made successive regional semi -finals in 2010 and 2011, the publication said. From 2016 to 2018 he was at Baytown Sterling, a two-year route in which the Rangers went 10-10.

Overall, he is equipped with the age of 25 in Texas's experience and coaching experiences, says Boerne ISD. Sawyer's four daughters all visit the district, and his wife teaches at the Boerne High School.

The Greyhounds recently did the state championship in 2022, where it lost 24-21 against China Spring. The team limited their opponents to 7 points or less in eight out of 16 games this year.

Hendrix has been head coach for Boerne since the 2018-19 season.
