“I don't know how to go on”

York County, Pa. (WHP) – A policeman was killed and five people were injured in a mass shooting in a hospital in Pennsylvania.

The mother of this murdered officer told her emotional story about her son after his death.

“It just looked like he was sleeping and I kissed my head, just like me when he was born. It is unreal, ”recalled Nancy Duarte that she reminded.

On Saturday, Moshese said goodbye to her only child, the officer Andrew Duarte.

“Every time I left it, I would say:” Be smart and safe. “And I told him that I always loved him,” said Moshese.

The St. Michael medal, which he wore every day, is now around her neck.

“You gave me it in the hospital,” said Moshese.

The two were the best friends.

“We saw each other once or several times a week. We would eat dinner. We would have breakfast. We would go for a walk. We made Snapchat each other all day. “

The mother of a police officer spoke about the memory of her son after reacting to a shootout in the hospital.

According to Vollese, Duarte was her miracle baby, only £ 3.5 when he was born. He was never on the growth map, but what he didn't have in the stature, he had courage.

Duarte was fourth in his class in Denver, where he was Dui enforcement officer.

“I am proud that he was a man who would be in danger,” said Duarte's mother.

In 2022 he moved to York County to be close to his mother.

“It is shocking, overwhelming, incredibly sad,” Moshese described. “I don't know how to go on. I don't know how to go out the rest of my life without him. He was everything for me. ”

Meterse says that she wants people to know how wonderful her son was.

“He was very loved and he loved it well,” said Moshese.

Funeral arrangements were hit for duarte and are to take place on Friday afternoon.
