Overnight house fire as an arson

Peoria (25News Now) – On February 25, 2025, the fire brigade of Peoria was transferred to a residential structure at 12:16 p.m. in a residential building in S. Charles St. 1609

On arrival, the crews found a fire on the back of the house. Fire lines used several lines of hose to extinguish the fire in the back of the structure. The fast action of the fire brigade prevented the fire from extending into the interior, the second history and the roof of the structure.

It was confirmed that no occupants were present. The house was free at the time of the fire. The fire was brought under control within 15 minutes, with the crews being on site to search for hidden fire and delete hot spots.

An investigator of Peoria Fire Department and a fire fire dog (Molly) were sent to determine the cause and the origin of the fire. It was found that arson was the cause of the fire.

No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported.

The estimated property damage is $ 10,000.00.
