EU managers to keep urgent video calls for the debriefing of Macron-Trumps -Politico

Brussels – The President of the European Council António Costa announced a video conference of the European leader before the special summit planned for March 6, on Wednesday morning.

“To prepare me for the Special European Council on March 6, I will organize a video conference of the members of the EU Council tomorrow morning to hear a debriefing from President Emmanuel Macron on his last visit to Washington DC” Post on X.

On Sunday, Costa announced that he had called a special meeting of European leaders next week to discuss the security for Ukraine and Europe.

French President Emmanuel Macron met on Monday with the President of the United States, Donald Trump, in Washington, to ask for security guarantees for Ukraine. During the previous week, Trump questioned the US participation in the conflict and described the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as a “dictator without elections”.
