Google Messages receives an overhaul in the camera and gallery functions that should make it much easier to send photos and videos of the original high-quality size.

In 9to5Google, some Google Message Beta users report that determine a change in your in-app camera and gallery, since Google implements the new layout. The changes have not yet been introduced to the stable publication of the app.

In addition to a newly designed gallery from which you can select your desired photos or videos, the new layout contains a practical “HD” symbol that is displayed in the top right of the screen before an image is sent.

By typing on the symbol, a new menu is displayed, with which you can either select “Optimized for the chat”, which exchanges quality for a lower file size or “original quality”, which, as you may have guessed, the entire original image like Found sends on the integrated memory of your phone.

This new menu makes it clearer and easier to send high-quality images via Google messages, which prevents an annoying loss of quality due to compression.

However, it is not just a new function. In the current stable build from Google messages, users can send original quality images by going to the app, taping the profile picture, opening messages and switching off the “Send photos faster”.

In the statement, “Send photos faster” is analogous to the new option “Optimized for the chat” – the new menu makes the change to photos and videos with higher quality much clearer.

Those with slower connections or who are aware of sending large files to their family and friends can select the “Optimized Chat” option for faster uploads and smaller file sizes.

For the new gallery layout, a larger, more comprehensive view of your latest photos and videos and the current menu of the folders, which are now relegated to a small tab below, the screen.

These new updates are the latest in a number of new functions and functions that have recently been added to Google messages, including changes to emergency messages and the opportunity to write themselves with RCS. Google Messages is the standard -Messaging app for many of the best Android telephones, so it is pursuing that Google is interested in keeping it up to date.
