New leaks indicate that Samsungs Z Fold 7 becomes much thinner

It looks like Samsung may have an answer to Oppo's Fund N5, as new leaks say that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is only a fractionally thicker than the thinnest foldable in the world. This applies according to renderers created by onleaks based on leaked information.

Onleaks together with Android headlinesreports that the Z -Fold 7 is only 4.5 mm thick when opening. The Find N5 period of the world's thinnest book style foldable is 4.2 mm thick, and the previous record holder, the Magic V3 from Honor, is 4.4 mm.

That would bring Samsung up there with the global competition and make this quite comfortably the thinnest foldable phone in the USA. The Z -Fold 6 is 5.6 mm thick and Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold runs to 5.1 mm. The OnePlus Open is the thickest at 5.8 mm, and the company has already confirmed that it has no plans for a new foldable model this year.

The dimensions of Z Fold 7, when they were closed, are a little less clear. The report states that the phone will be 9.5 mm thick to count the camera flashing, and closer to 9 mm without, but that doesn't make much sense: the camera base itself is clearly more than 0.5 mm Dick and protrudes rather in detail from the body in the body into the new pictures, even more than in previous models.

Interestingly, the Z-Fold 7 sounds in its other dimensions with a larger 8.2-inch inside screen and a 6.5-inch outdoor area, which will be wider than the previous generation. In this way, Samsung reports that the same size of 4,400 mAh battery was inserted into a thinner design.

Elsewhere, Android headlines Forecast that the phone is driven by the Snapdragon 8 Elite and offers a new 200 megapixel main camera alongside the same 10 megapixel telephoto-tele and 12 megapixel ultrawides such as the Z-Fold 6.

It is expected to be launched in July 2025 together with the Galaxy Z Flip 7. It has recently been proposed that Samsung would use the same event to announce his first tribling phone, although this is anything but safe: Leaker Max Jambor has gone to Twitter today Triufold will start “at a later date”.
