SCHEDULE

The Columbus Blue Jackets start a huge week with a hard test on Tuesday evening when they compete against the Dallas stars.

It is the first of three games for the Blue Jackets this week that culminates with the showdown of the stadium series on Saturday evening against the Detroit Red Wings. The two teams will also meet in Detroit on Thursday evening.

But for the first time for Columbus: the stars in the points in the points and in the last ten points 8-1-1, a big task for a team in the middle of an unexpected playoff boost.

The thrust was increased on Saturday with a win against the Chicago Blackhawks, but despite the four-goal victory, the Blue Jackets saw areas to improve.

“If we want to get where we want to go, we have to play better,” said Zach Werenski after the game. Striker Kent Johnson repeated similar feelings and said the boys can “sharpen” after the two -week break.

Dallas will give Columbus the chance to do exactly that with a victory against home ice over one of the elites in the NHL, which certainly offer a great treasure trigger.

Here is what else you should know when the blue jackets and stars complete your season series:

  • Re: stars
Dallas comes hot and won against the New Jersey Devils and New York Islander on Saturday and Sunday. This is your last game of six straight lines on the street that go back to the 4 nations. In fact, Dallas' last home: their victory over the Blue Jackets on February 2. … The stars are one of three teams in the NHL, which are the top five in both goals and the permissible goals. The Winnipeg Jets and Washington Capitals are the others. … former Blue Jacket Matt Düchene has a career year and leads the stars in assists and points. He also connected to Jason Robertson for the team lead in goals.
  • Z approaches the record of all time
With points in 22 home games in a row, Wereenski is now the third-long home top series of a defender in NHL history-and with one point on Tuesday evening, he can climb a record of 25 on the binding of Bobby Orr within two of the Sonbby Orrs. Is there anything that this type can do?
  • Johnson rolls'
Kent Johnson has a breakout season. He has already set a career high goals and has points in 10 of his last 11 games. He is third in the NHL with 1.53 goals per 60 minutes in the 5-to-5 game and only remained Thompson (1.88) and Alex Ovechkin (1.63). The closest blue jacket in this category is Kirill Marchenko with 1.09. He does all of this and has only 1.4 shots per game on average, sieve high in the team.
  • Constellations and projections
While this week there were several blue jackets with injuries (Sean Monahan, Erik Gudbranson and Yegor Chinakhov), no are ready to return to the line -up. No changes to the occupation will be expected tonight. Therefore, the installation projections are here:
