After the fire in Wright Township, badly damaged home

Wright Township, Michigan – firefighters from Chester Township, Hudsonville, Coopersville/Polekton, and more answered to fight for a house fire at Wright/Tallmadge Fire Department early Tuesday morning.

The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office (OCSO) says it started shortly before 4 a.m. in 28th Ave north of Roosevelt near Conclin.

“After what we learn so far, it sounds like the dog of a neighbor is woken up, and then the children saw the fire, so they called it, and when our first crew came here, it comes out of every part of fire is already, “said Jon Alkema, deputy fire chief of Wright/Tallmadge.

Firefighters used a nearby irrigation of the farm and drove in water because they were from a water source.

But according to the boss, this is nothing extraordinary in this area.

“I would say, 90% of our reaction district is 'no hydros',” said Alkema.

The crews in this area are prepared for this and carry adapters with which you can use the same systems, use the water fields as defacto hydrants and then the tankers to support the crews as a modern bucket brigade.

Nobody was injured in the fire, said Ocso.

The fire and hotspots were out around 9 a.m.; Only the investigation of the cause remains there for the crews.
