Dover teen in connection with shooting in January charged

Dover, del. – The Delaware State Police arrested a young person in connection with a shootout last month.

The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on January 18 in the 200 Block of Gunning Bedford Drive in the municipality of Rodney. It was learned that unknown suspicious shots were fired, which then hit the residents. The two adults in the house at the time of the incident were not injured.

Further investigations caused detectives to identify one of the suspects involved in the shootout as a 17-year-old man from Dover. At the end of last week, the teenager was given a firearm during the inspection of a crime, the possession of a ammunition by a person under the age of 18, accused of ruthless danger, conspiracy of second degree and criminal nonsense.

He was then captured in the Stevenson House Detention Center for a 50,000 dollar deposit.

The incident remains examined.
