Hope Tipton, judge of the Baltimore City Circuit Court, planned a negotiation date on May 20 for 51-year-old Kevin M. Hawkins Sr., who is accused of shooting his sons in his residence in the 5600 block of the Greenfield Avenue.

Hawkins is charged with attempted murder first and second degrees and two charges of the attack and the firearm in a crime or violent crime. He is also accused of firing a firearm in Baltimore City.

According to court documents, the shootout occurred on October 17, 2024 after a verbal argument between Hawkins, which was drunk, and its two sons. Both sons were unharmed in the incident. Hawkins then barricaded himself in his residence and led a tactical team to react.

During the examination, detectives allegedly recovered a 9 -mm glock 17 pistol with the serial number XG202Us behind a refrigerator in the residence, loaded with a 9 -mm -live ammunition in the chamber and 15 other balls in the magazine. Hawkins has been observed how the police authority's officers (Baltimore Police Department) smelled “a strong amount of alcoholic drinks” out of his body.

On February 25, the Hawkins public prosecutor offered a commitment of 30 years and exposed everyone to 10, the first five without the possibility of probation. According to the conditions of the deal, Hawkin would have to give all weapons and do not maintain contact with the victim.

Defender Robert D. Cole Jr. rejected the offer on behalf of Hawkins.

Hawkins' process takes three days before judge Hope Tipton.
