Clancy Dubos | Mardi Gras Parade Safety tips: Stay safe and celebrate intelligently

Mardi Gras is just a week away, so it's time to remember the best ways to enjoy it.

New Orleans – We cannot control parade weather, but we can make sure that we protect ourselves and our loved ones during the carnival.

So let us check some tips for the safety of Parade:

• Keep the heads of curb.

• Do not try to “claim” public spaces. Mardi Gras is a public party, but neutral reasons are public property. Let us hold it that way.

• Only bring – but everyone – the bare essentials with: your ID, some cash, a credit or debit card and your phone.

• You know where your children are at all times. Write your phone number on the arms of the little ones if you are lost.

• Be nice to visit and let children catch the best litters.

I wish you a safe and happy Mardi Gras!
