New lawsuit submitted by 2 victims of 2023 Isle of Palms 'Senior Skip Day' Shooting

Isle of Palms, SC (WCSC) – Two victims of the “Senior Skip Day” shootout in 2023 submitted a lawsuit against the Isle of Palms police authority and the city, which quotes careless negligence.

Teqyah Campbell and Lamona Armstrong, who acted as a parent and legal guardian of a minor name “RC” in the documents, submitted the lawsuit yesterday.

The document claims that Campbell, who was a minor at the time, and RC, who is still a minor, suffered “traumatic, life -changing, serious injuries”.

RC reported that RC suffered a gunshot wound on the shoulder.

The lawsuit claims that the police and the city have taken note of the tradition “Senior Skip Day” and did not provide enough police to control and dispel the crowd.
