Miami leads to niu faster start

Oxford, Ohio – Miami scored the first 14 points to start the competition when the Redhawks fell an 87-58 victory over the men's basketball team at Northern Illinois University on Tuesday evening (February 25th) on Tuesday evening (February 25).

Nasir Muhammad (Brooklyn, NY/Xaverian) scored 17 points to lead Niu, James Dent Jr. (Springfield, Ill./springfield Southeast) added 12 points and Quentin Jones (Chicago, Ill./Marian Catholic) broke off 10.

“We are just a tired pile,” said Niu head coach Rashon Burno. “The emotional loss against East Michigan (Saturday). I don't think it is difficult to beat everyone at 17 percent who shoots 5 out of 29 on the street.”

Miami (21-7, 12-3 Mac) jumped in the lead with 14: 0 in the first six minutes of the competition Kailon Nicholls (Toronto, Ontario/Hargrave Military Academy) made a jumper on track to end the drought to open the game.

An old-fashioned three-point game from Dent led the Redhawk 11: 53 to 21: 9 to play in half. Miami then achieved nine of the next 13 when the hosts went 30-13 before the lead.

Muhammad made a three-point game and Dent knocked in a triple in corner when Niu (5-23, 1-14 Mac) shortened the Miami lead to 30-19, but the Redhawks answered with the next 10 when Miami A 40-19 took leaders with 2:47 before half-time.

Miami took a lead of 46-28 into the break. Brant Byers led all the scorers with 12 points for the Redhawks, dent with 10 points up and down. Miami scored 58.1 percent (18 out of 31) from the field in the first 20 minutes, while Niu held only 34.5 percent (10 out of 29) shootings.

The Redhawks opened the second half in a 14: 5 run when they took the lead with 13: 55 with 60-33 to force a break into a huskie.

Byers and Eiian Elmer each scored 22 points to cross the Redhawks, Reece Potter added 11 points.

Miami exceeded the NiU (44-24) in competition and ended the game with 53.3 percent (32 out of 60) the field, while Niu was held to only 37.3 percent (22 out of 59).
