No. 3 Florida Gators have proven that the 25 top voters were right to show them when the latest surveys were released on Monday. A little more than 24 hours later, Florida started again in a street game that has had up to 26 points behind it, before finally falling 88-83 in the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens, Georgia.

The loss was Gator's head coach Todd Goldens first for the former program director Mike White, who is now 1-6 in the last seasons in the series between the long-standing SEC competitors. It was also the worst defeat of the season against UF (24-4, 11-4 seconds), since Uga 16-11 had occurred after losing nine of his last 11 games. The Bulldogs also made a 12-game defeat for the Gator and recorded the best victory as a program in 21 years.

Sophomore striker Alex Condon – on the floor and the starting line -up – returned fresh from an ankle injury that cost him several games. Condon took a forearm in the competition late in the competition and had to go to the changing room, but he ultimately returned to be relatively ineffective during the competition.

Let's take a look at everything that went wrong for Florida on Tuesday evening.

It was over when … Georgia has withdrawn a free throw to go four points with 22 seconds. Senior Guard wants to miss Richard 3 points at both ends that Uga could hold onto a rousing home win.

Richard and Senior G Walter Clayton Jr. scored the first 10 points of the second half with 17 minutes before Florida's game by 13 points. At that time, Richard had 24 of the 48 points of the Gator in competition. A 9: 2 value thrust tightened the edge, and five points from Richard as part of a 7-2 burst deficits in Floridas deficit with 6:19.

The Gators collected a 13-0 run, which was fueled by two three from Clayton to take over their first lead of the game with a 68-second lead to 80-78. As all night all night, the DAWGs immediately responded with a wide-open 3 pointer from a fresh replacement that was clearly the goal of the following piece. This was followed by a lazy pass that led to Clayton's fifth fluctuation of the game, and the hosts cleared the rest of the way.

UF only went 18 out of 29 from the charity strip and left 11 points on the board in a 5-point game. It was the team's four -closing freeness in the season.

Focus on the first half: Florida was unable to find the bottom of the basket and not to be ready to prevent Georgia from getting wide -open looks out of the large reach. Uf started 1/9 FG and was surprisingly 19 points in just 8 minutes after the game. This edge rose to 26, with so many minutes remaining in the period. A thrilling 10-0 run behind Richard cut the deficit of the Gator to 13 points too late, but they were still 6 out of 9 shots for 17 points during the break during the break, while the rest of his team only 6 made of 24 for 18 points. As a DAWGS, this shot 68% from the field and 78% from the 3-point range.

Exceptional efforts: Richard was the only player who stepped up for the Gator and scored 30 points, while he scored 5 out of 11 attempts from beyond the arch with five rebounds and three assists. While he was immense during most of the competition, his inability to connect late was expensive. Clayton was the second scorer with 18 points, but he looked like he was sleeping through the competition. He only made 5 out of 13 shots with five sales. While Clayton took five boards and dishing five dimes, he was not aggressive in the competition.

Opportunities & ends: Florida fell with a 45-63 mark in Athens to 126-104 against Georgia … Golden is now 6-1 against UGA … The Gators under Golden fell to 13-21 to half-time, 3-27 when he 5 with 5 with 5 with 5 Around 5 minutes on the left, 7-26, when he was exceeded by an opponent and 12-25 when he was exceeded by an opponent from a 3-point range. 50th game in a row …

Florida has replaced Georgia in most phases, including forced sales (17-11), points from sales (29-12), rebounding (34-32), offensive rebounding (14-5), second chance (21-7). and Fastbreak classification (28-19) … The Gator that fought on the line and exceeded significantly from the bank (18-27) were the culprit behind the street loss

What it means: This was a pitiful loss for the Gators on the street against a DAWGS team that had dropped into the competition four and nine of 11. Florida slowly started again on the street – a real problem that rightly prepared questions about the preparation of the team – but this time it became such a deep deficit that it was unable to fight. Golden also made a strange decision -making conflict – fresh from an ankle injury that kept several games away – with the second center of Rueben Chinyelu, who only had a career game 72 hours earlier and came from the bank. The team didn't seem to be synchronous from the start.

Although this is considered a quadrant 1 loss for UF, the defeat hardly makes less and has a drastically affect the resume of the Gator, since they are now 5-4 in the first Q1 games that are worst among the six top teams . Florida is undoubtedly projected as No. 2 in the NCAA tournament as No. 2 if the efforts of the forecastikers are updated – and this inspires this. The loss also makes UF from the two best points in the SEC rating, which could mean the loss of a double glory in the upcoming SEC tournament.

The Tuesday evening was simply a failure in all phases for a Gator team that achieved its worst result too late in the campaign at a time of the incomprehension. Uth somehow late – and the last edge that lies in the low individual digits – a different picture than the game shown.

What's next? Florida has to be grouped up in a significant way because it turns number 12 in Texas A&M – one of two remaining games this season against an AP Top 25 opponent. Gainesville, Florida, will be broadcast on Saturday before ESPN's “College Gameday” on Saturday, before the Gators at 8:30 p.m. ET in a game that is broadcast live in the Sec network.
