The press is more important than the president, it should start to behave like this

In mid -February, the White House banned journalists from Associated Press from presidential events because they refused to change the name of a water exchanges in its reporting from the “Golf of Mexico” to the “Golf of America”.

Sued for various reasons, including the proper procedure (citing a court that access to the White House is undoubtedly qualified as freedom that cannot be refused without proper legal proceedings in the context of the fifth change)) and the first change ( cited the same judgment).

On February 24, a federal judge refused to enact a temporary injunction that restores the access of AP while the lawsuit is waiting for the resolution. AP reporters and photographers still have passports from the White House and can take part in the briefing of the White House. It is the oval office and Trump's personal preference, from which you are excluded.

Apart from a precedent, I see nothing in the constitution that the president demands to speak to or the white house “letter”, at all reporters or specify that certain agencies, publications and journalists are part of a special protected class. Access.

In fact, I suspect that many Americans want that the president (not only this one – I speak of the office, not from man) much less than Dr. Phil (loud, annoying, omnipresent) as well as Punxsutawney Phil (loud, annoying, omnipresent) and more like Punxsutawney Phil (quiet, sweet and only very occasionally demands our attention).

If the press wants to cover the presidency, I suggest that the agencies, publications and journalists come together and turn the tables.

Just as the president or the White House does not provide a constitutional prerequisite for the hosts, humor and response to journalists, there is no constitutional constitution at all.

Why don't the most important newspapers, television stations, etc. meet and set up the “press pool” of the White House on your own conditions instead of exposing yourself to the conditions of the president?

You could rent, buy or build a small studio/auditorium, handle your own journalists login information and let the White House and President know when you will organize briefings.

The president and/or the press officer could appear or not. If they showed themselves, you might get some reporting. If not, there are always other messages to report, right?

In something that resembles a free society, an independent press is far more important than any functionary in every chic office. America's journalists should take this truth to heart and act on it.
