According to Hamas, a deal with Israel has reached to free more than 600 Palestinians Gaza messages

The prisoners will be released in the coming days, while Hamas hand over the corpses of four Israeli prisoners.

Hamas said that it had completed a deal to end Israel's delay in the release of 620 Palestinian prisoners that should be freed last week after having supported his side of the ceasefire with six Israeli prisoners from Gaza.

The Hamas confirmed on Wednesday that Israel will publish more Palestinian women and children from his prisons on Thursday, while the group will also hand over the bodies of the four Israeli prisoners.

Al Jazeeras Tarq Abu Azzou, who reports from Nuseeirat Camp in the center of Gaza, said the exchange will probably take place on Thursday. Egypt monitors the process to ensure that both sides fulfill their obligations.

Hamas accused Israel of “sabotaging” the Gaza ceasefire by delaying the release of the 620 Palestinian prisoners on Saturday. Israel justified the delay by quoting concerns about the major public meetings in which the Israelis were freed, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu describing the process as “humiliating ceremonies”.

The most recent agreement would complete the obligations of both sides in accordance with the first phase of the ceasefire, in which Hamas returns 33 prisoners, including eight corpses, against almost 2,000 Palestinian prisoners.

Washington envoy in the Middle East said that talks for a second phase of a ceasefire contract in Gaza remained on the right track. The first phase should end on Saturday.

“We make a lot of progress. Israel is currently sending a team while we are talking, ”said Steve Witkoff to an event for the American Jewish Committee.

“It will be either in Doha or in Cairo, where the negotiations start again with the Egyptians and the Qataris,” he said.

The conversations should start weeks ago, but not.

Witkoff, who will be expected in the region in the coming days.

Abu Azzou said there were growing indications that Israel wanted to expand the first phase of the deal instead of negotiating the second phase.

“The next Saturday, Israel should withdraw from the Philadelphi corridor as part of the first phase,” said Al Jazeera's correspondent and added that this will be an opportunity to put the strength of the deal on the test.

The Philadelphi corridor, a 14 km long country strip, which represents the entire interface between Gaza and Egypt, was a point of dispute when Israel tried to keep control of the area.
