Chicago (WLS) – A woman was critically wounded at a shootout in the neighborhood of Lawndale on Wednesday morning, said the Chicago police.

The shootout took place around 12:48 p.m. in the 1400 block of the South Tripp Avenue.

The police said the 26-year-old woman got into a verbal argument in a house in a house before the woman moved outside.

While the victim was on the sidewalk, the police said that the female suspect approached and shot the woman into his chest before he fled.

The woman became the MT in a critical condition. Sinai Hospital brought, the police said.

Nobody is in custody and four detectives in the region that are examined.
