House that is to be torn down after a fatal fire

City of Wappinger – The charred frame of the house on Marlorville Road 78, where the remains of a husband, wife and her dog were found during a fire that, according to Joseph Cavaccini, the supervisor of the city of Wappinger. The supervisor had declared a state of emergency to preserve the structure to enable a collection of evidence after a man was arrested and charged and charged because of the death of the victims.

The remains of Paul and Joann Hait, the homeowners, were recovered a few days after the discovery of their bodies of firefighters, who reacted to a structural fire in the residence on January 26, 2025.

The son -in -law of the deceased couple Robert Buda Jr., 34, was arrested shortly after the fire and accused by the detective of the sheriff of the Dutchess County for arson, which reacted to the suspicious fire. A few days later, the suspect, a resident of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was charged with various theories of the law because of three murder cases and the cruelty of the animals for killing his in -laws and their dog.

Cavaccini has lifted the original arrangement of the executive and signed a new one, whereby the language that leads the fire inspector, the construction department and the zoning administrator to coordinate the demolition of the structure in order to clear out concerns about public security.
