When will the last school day for JCPS students be in 2025?

The Jefferson County Board of Education voted to award some of the snow days taken the week after the winter break.

Louisville, Ky. – A new last day of school was approved by Jefferson County for students from public schools (JCPS).

The Jefferson County Board of Education (JCBE) met on Tuesday and voted to award four additional snow days and approve a make-up day.

Last month, a strong snowstorm brought almost a foot of snow and over an centimeter ice to some areas in Louisville. Instead of returning from the winter break, JCPS students had five snow days in a row this week.

Relatives: So much has snowed in Louisville this winter so far

Since the board found that the students only had to make up one of these days, the last school day for JCPS students takes place on Friday, May 23, 2025, shortly before the memorial day.

If additional school days are missed this year and the board has to be invented, the last day of school is pushed back.
