BBC confirm Doctor Who's publication date after a random promo.

After Eagle-Eyed fans recently discovered a date in a promo on the BBC IPlayer, the studio has now confirmed when Doctor WHO actually returns to our screens.

During the BBC reporting on the under 20s Rugby England and Scotland Game, the promo had a surprise enjoyment with the teaser, including an April date for the return of the show.

The next season of the hit series is the second with Ncuti Gatwa as Lord, and while Millie Gibson's Ruby will be the strange appearance, this time he will have a new companion, with Varada Sethu Belinda Chandra.

When does Doctor Who returns to our screens?

The studio has now announced Doctor WHO on Saturday, April 12th, again on BBC One and BBC IPlayer, the same date as the random revelation over the weekend.

While we already knew about the new companion of the doctor, they have also announced that the amazing Alan Cumming will be a guest as Mr. Ring-A thing in one episode, the second of the season.

The figure becomes a “happy, funny, funny, Singalonger Cartoon, who lives in a sunny city with his friend Sunshine Sally.

“1952, after years of repetitions in cinemas across the country, Mr. Ring-A-thing suddenly looks over the screen and sees the real world outside, and the consequences are scary.”

At the announcement, Showrunner Russell T Davies Sahred said: “Only Alan Cumming was able to give so much wit, malice, danger and fun.

“He makes the entire universe of Doctor Who Wilder and Wilder than ever before, and it is an absolute honor to greet him on board the Tardis.”

Other guest stars are Rose Ayling-Ellis, Anita Dobson, Christopher Chung, Michelle Greenidge, Ruth Madeley, Jemma Redgrave, Susan Twist and the Little Mermaid star Jonah Hauer-King.
