Babbo Italian restaurant donates all income to pancreatic cancer research

Babbo Italian Restaurant organizes his fourth annual baseball for Babbo Day of Giving on Wednesday, February 26th.

On this day, all eight locations of Valley Babbo will donate 100% of the profits to the Seena Magowitz Foundation to support research on the pancreatic cancer at the Honorhealth Research Institute.

The event honors Babbos late founder Ken Pollack.

Pollack, a committed baseball enthusiast, lost his brave fight against pancreas cancer at the end of 2022.

The organizers said that the name “Babbo”, what “Daddy” means in Italian, reflects the lead function that is played in the life of his family, his employees and his community.

“My father believed deeply in the importance of returning something and creating a cycle of generosity,” said Taylor Schultz, daughter and marketing director of Pollack at Babbo Italian Eatery. “Our annual day of giving is a sensible way for us to promote his legacy and maintain the values that it has conveyed to all of us.”

According to the Seena Magowitz Foundation, pancreatic cancer is the third most common cause of cancer -related deaths in the United States with a survival rate of 13%.

The foundation said that this marks an improvement in recent years, but considerable progress is still required for early diagnosis, extended treatment options and innovative drug therapies. The Seena Magowitz Foundation is dedicated to promoting research, sensitization and combining patients and supervisors with leading medical specialists at first -class institutions to improve the results and quality of life.

“All efforts in the fight against pancreatic cancer bring us closer to hope and healing,” said Magowitz. “We are proud to join Babbo Italian Restaurant and the Community in order to achieve a permanent effect and to change the future of this devastating disease. Our vision is a world in which pancreas is a chronic, treatable disease. “

Community members can set in any BABBO location, record a catering order or buy a gift card.

The additional ways to contribute to the matter include a silent auction and raffle with rare memorabilia of baseball legends such as Mookie Betts, Vladimir Guerrero, Dansby Swanson and much more.

Those who want to promote their participation can donate to the Seena Magowitz Foundation or become a sponsor in order to advance this matter.
