Loaded EVS | Honeywell releases hydrogen -clever detection sensor

Honeywell has released a new security sensor, the hydrogen lullet detector (HLD), which is specially developed for hydrogen companies such as automobiles.

“Although hydrogen fuel cells have made progress, maintaining operational security remains a biggest problem,” said the company. “Historical incidents with hydrogen leaks have highlighted considerable security risks and underlined the need for reliable hydrogen detection technologies.”

The use of hydrogen gas represents security risks because it is colorless, odorless, high -fluid and quickly diffuse. Without adequate surveillance, leaks can be slightly undetected, which leads to fires, explosions and operational dangers.

The HLD sensor uses Honeywell's compensation algorithm to detect hydrogen leaks in various applications. It uses TCD technology (heat conductivity detection) to identify hydrogen clever in levels of up to 50 ppm.
