Austin ISD, Dallas Cowboys Start of the High School Girls Flag Football League

Austin, Texas – a local school district and a large professional football program are put together to bring more girls on the grid.

Austin ISD announced on Wednesday that it formed a girls' soccer league with the support of the Dallas Cowboys.

Each Austin ISD High School will form a team to take part in the league. In the past nine months, the district said that he had worked with the Cowboys organization to form 7-against-7 programs at university levels that will start the competition game this spring.

Austin ISD is one of almost a dozen districts who work with the cowboys, and in May will take place in the Ford Center in Frisco, Texas, in May.

According to Austin ISD, every school district who took part in the Dallas Cowboys High School Girls Flag Football Regional Leagues received subsidy financing to help coaching scholarships and educational costs, starting costs, uniforms, equipment packages from the USA football and general support from NFL Flag.

Kut recently reported that the Houston Texans wanted to expand her Girls football program for girls for round rock and plugerville ISDS.

The teams confirmed to take part in this league, are Round Rock, Westwood, McNeil, Connally, Hendrickson, Pflugerville and Weiss High Schools.

Central Texas currently has an All-Girls Flag Football Select Travel Team named Texas Fury. The team, which was founded by Jason and Amberly Klam in 2017, is an NFL flag-sanctioned league.

Texas Fury teams have won a number of championships and finally become champions and 2024 women -nfl flags champions in 2024.

The future of Flag football in the USA

Kut's article says that, according to the NFL, only 14 countries currently recognize Flag football as an official high school university.

But the sport is becoming more and more attention on higher levels.

It was only this month that the NCAA committee for women's sports of the sponsors of departments I, II and III recommended that the NCAA Emerging Sports for Women Program Football add.

At least 65 NCAA schools are already sponsoring women's football for women at the club or university level this year, whereby the next year should take more.

Flag football was also added as a sport for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
