Intoxicated, armed man who was arrested by Florida at the primary school in the southwest – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sport

Fort Myers, Florida (WBBH) -Raymond Perez, 39, was distributed behind the wheel on Monday afternoon at the Parent Pickup line of the Orangewood Elementary School.

Fort Myers' police say that the resource representative of the school resources notified the patrol and had to break a window in order to gain access to adult due to the smell. He was arrested for Dui. Officers also noticed that there was a firearm in Perez 'vehicle.

Gulf Coast News asked the school district of Lee County how he dealt with the situation. The headmaster of the elementary school, Dwayne Blazina, sent an e -mail to the parents:

“Good morning, elementary school family,

“This message should inform you about an incident that took place yesterday” Monday “afternoon during the parents' collection. The law enforcement authorities reacted to a situation in which an adult was involved in one of the vehicles. The situation was treated quickly and safely without influencing the security of our students or employees.

“We understand that some families have seen the presence of law enforcement authorities and may feel concerned. Please be sure that the students were never in danger and our employees followed all security protocols to ensure a safe environment.

“The security and well -being of our students have our top priority, and we are grateful for the quick reaction of the police department of Fort Myers and our school resource officer.

“Thank you for your understanding and your continued support. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact yourself.

It is unclear what prompted Perez to see the school while he was intoxicated. Perez is suspended with several charges, including the possession of a weapon on school ownership, Dui and driving with a suspended license.
