The Greenville police are examining Viral McDonald's arrest video

The Greenville police department examines an arrest with a McDonald's on South Memorial Drive after a video of the incident had become viral on social media. The arrest of the 30-year-old Anthony Drayton due to violation triggered public concerns, which was requested to call for an internal investigation by an internal examination by a member of the Greenville city council.

The video shows that Drayton is arrested in the McDonald's where the authorities say that it was permanently prohibited by the manager. According to a statement by the Greenville police, Drayton refused to provide his civil servants available to his officials and supposedly tried to kick one of them during the arrest. The video also shows officers who meet Drayton in response.

An anonymous witness who observed the arrest said, “I suspect that they just wanted him to go, but he did not cause any problems I heard of all workers and everything.

The witness expressed disagreements with the dealings with the situation and explained: “You do not know what the situation of people … There are different ways to deal with things … If we were arrested in this situation without a badge and would go to prison because we beat up someone like this.”

In response to public concerns, the police announced that it would investigate the arrest. Portia Willis, member of the Greenville City Council, also called for an internal examination in a Facebook post.

During the examination, Drayton is charged with attacking a government official and opposing an official.
