Other suspects that were identified in Marquette County child abuse examination

Marquette Township, Michigan (WLUC) – The examination of the child abuse in the house of a Marquette and his wife remains open and other suspects were identified, the office of the Marquette County said on Wednesday.

On February 18, Dr. Colin and Carrie Irish are charged with a second -degree child abuse before Marquette County's district court. You will be accused of locking your 10-year-old son into a closet for several hours a day for several months. The investigators say the boy has special needs.

The community has asked many questions since the news had been registered for the first time – as if other adults lived in the house.

Det. Lt. Jason Hart from the Sheriff office of Marquette County says that the examination is still open and additional suspects have been identified.

According to Hart, the three children who were removed from the Irish house – including the reported victim – were adopted by the Irish family. He says there is a fourth child who lives elsewhere. This child is certain and there are no concerns for this child. The three children who were at home are temporarily cared for.

The 10-year-old boy's school initiated the abuse report for child protection services, says Hart.

The Irish defender's office rejected another comment on Wednesday.

The practice of Dr. Irish, Irish Family Practice, is closed on Google as permanently and the office in the Third St. N. Third in Marquette seemed to be closed on Wednesday.

The Ministry of License and Regulatory Authorities in Michigan says, while the license of Dr. Irish is still valid, a complaint has been opened and will go through the administrative process.

In November the Michigan Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Operation Dr. Irish 18 months on probation and punished him with a fine of 2,500 US dollars after examining a complaint about how he documented reasons for prescribing controlled substances for some patients.

Both Colin and Carrie Irish are planned for preliminary examination hearings on March 13. You are out of prison for bond.

The charge of a criminal offense is punished at up to 10 years in prison.
