W.Va. Real ID period on the enforcement date on the date of enforcement

Parkersburg, W.VA. (WTAP) – If you want to travel all over the plane in front of the plane this summer, you should receive your real ID license before the enforcement date of May 7th.

According to Lisa Farbstein, spokeswoman for the TSA, the actual ID will serve as a form of an acceptable identification when carrying out TSA security control points.

“You can either use this real ID license to go through a control point, or you can use an alternative form of identification that is acceptable. Alternative ID forms that are acceptable are listed on our website TSA.Gov. ”

Real ID is implemented to ensure security and national security as part of the 2005 Real ID Act.

This act was a continued response to the terrorist attacks of September 11th and took more years to meet them for several years.

“The whole idea is that this was due to September 11th. The 19 terrorists who collapsed the four planes to the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the field in Shanksville, led to a loss of around 3000 lives, and none of these terrorists had a valid form of ID. They all had a fraudulent ID, so that came out of the real ID law of 2005, which the congress passed. It took several states to comply with this, which means that the DMVs in all countries had to be up to date and can include various security functions in their licenses, and now we will start enforcement on May 7th. ”

You can get your real ID license in your local DMV.

According to the color, those who believe that they don't need real ID should keep in mind that it is better to be safe than to apologize.

“… think in a similar way to how you could think of insurance. You will receive insurance and hope that you don't need you, so the same fits the same with the real ID. If you are someone who doesn't believe that he will probably fly, you can still get it somehow, only in all cases. ”

According to the color, you have to bring some documents to the DMV if you receive your real ID.

A list of what you have to bring to the DMV is:

  • Identity proof
  • Evidence of the social security number
  • Two evidence of physical stays (e.g.
  • If your name has changed and differs from what is in your identity proof, you must also bring name change documents to display the link in name.
