Heart health tips that are shared at the “Cardio Carnival” event of the Christ Hospital

Cincinnati (WKRC) -The Christ Hospital organized a unique event called “Cardio-Carnival” to emphasize heart health and to raise the community about maintaining a strong heart.

The event consisted of costumes and PET therapy to cope with stress to strengthen patients through education and community connection.

“We try to strengthen our patients through education and participation and the connection, since the decisions they make can solve better results for themselves,” said Pam Colton, program manager for Advanced Heart failed in Christ Hospital.

The hospital team emphasized several steps to keep the hearts healthy, starting with the control of blood pressure.

“Blood pressure is one of the most important factors for heart disease, and we call it the quiet killer because people can have high blood pressure, but cannot be aware of it, and it influences their heart, but it also influences their brain and kidneys, and so it is extremely important that it is extremely important,” said Dr. Greg Egnacyk.

Dr. Egnaczyk also emphasized how important it is to train regularly to maintain a strong heart.

“Movement is important in many ways. If we train, we put our hearts to work and it is good to do that,” said Egnaczyk.

The event also aimed at raising awareness of subtle signs that could indicate heart problems.

“The subtle things may feel involved when they go for longer distances and go up stairs. This can be a sign that something is going on with your heart. Maybe a little more tiredness; certainly people with high blood pressure may have a bit of a headache,” said Egnaczyk.

For those who notice these signs or symptoms, it is recommended to consult a doctor for a transfer to a cardiologist.
