Arnav Gupta, A Bengaluru-Tech expert who moved to London six months ago recently shared his insight into the contrasts between India and the British Tech industry.

In a contribution to X mentioned, Guppa mentioned, which ensured a global talent visa that the technical salaries in Great Britain are competitive, but, in contrast to India, are not disproportionately high compared to other areas. He found that financial roles tend to offer more lucrative payments than technical jobs.

“The greatest change in perspective for me was to see how very people enjoy the work themselves – not just the job title or the product,” he noted. He found that British Tech specialists take care of the process, quality and structure and get involved in meaningful debates about the execution instead of only complying with the deadlines.

Guppa also pointed out that the tech scene of India has unique strengths. Global giants like Google, Microsoft and Amazon run huge teams in India and show its strategic importance. In addition, Indian technical salaries vary greatly, with the top specialists 10-20 times more than earn etwas employees, which is far less common in Great Britain.

Ultimately, both regions have different advantages, which the career decisions depend on the individual priorities.
