Stingrays deserve 4: 3 victory in overtime against Florida

Estero, Fl. – Thanks to a breakfast goal by Connor Moore, the Stingrays achieved a 4-3 win against the Florida Everblades in the Hertz Arena. Josh Wilkins, Jamie Engelbert, Micah Miller and Moore met for the stirreds, while goalkeeper Garin Bjorklund 28 out of 31 shots stopped.

In the first period, there were no goals, but a lot of action from both sides. The Everblades closed the stables 14-5 in the opening frame.

The stingrays scored the first goal of the game in the power game. Austin Magera pushed the puck in the high slot to Moore, whose one-timer went far. The rebound went from the final boards to Wilkins, who was there for his 17th of the year. Magera and Moore recorded the templates.

South Carolina would hit the power game again to make it 2-0. Miller sent the puck to Blake Thompson, whose wrist floors from Engelbert von just below the blue line appeared. Thompson and Miller supported Engelberts 15th goal of the year.

This stingray would score again, this time by four against four. After Charlie Combs had stolen the puck from an attempted Florida outlet, Combs and Miller started a 2-to-1 ice cream. Combs hit the post on his first shot, but Miller was there for the rebound to score him 3-0 with his 15th goal of the season. Combs recorded the only support.

The Everblades cut back the Stingray lead to two less than three minutes later. Colin Theisen hit Bjorklund over his glove to make it 3-1.

The Everblades made a game with 7:47 in the third. With traffic before traffic, Sean Allen scored a shot from the right point over Bjorklund's glove to achieve him 3-2.

Florida added another goal 30 seconds later. Bjorklund was of a strange hurry and initially saved Floridas Alex Kile, but Theisen buried the rebound for his second goal of the game to bind it to three.

The Stingrays bury the gaming gate with 4:52 in overtime. In the zone of the Everblades, Wilkins kept the puck left outwards. The striker sent the puck to the slot, and Moore received a stick on it to send him into the back of the network for his tenth season goal. Wilkins recorded his second point of the night with the support.

The next game by South Carolina is on Friday evening in the Hertz Arena against the Everblades. Puck Drop is set for 7:30 p.m.
